We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138
