Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 And saved them and their people from the great distress, 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers?" 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
