We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
