Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
