When your Lord called out to Moses, saying, "Go to the wrongdoing people, 10 The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Allah?" 11 'My Lord' he replied, 'I fear they will belie me 12 and then my breast will be straitened and my tongue will not be free: send, then, [this Thy command] to Aaron. 13 "And (further), they have a charge of crime against me; and I fear they may slay me." 14 [Allah] said, "No. Go both of you with Our signs; indeed, We are with you, listening. 15 Go, then, to Pharaoh and say to him: 'The Lord of the Universe has sent us 16 that you let the Children of Israel go with us.'" 17 The Pharaoh said, "Did we not bring you up in our home as an infant and did you not live with us for many years 18 Yet you committed the deed you did, surely you are one of the ingrates." 19 Moses said, "I did do it and I made a mistake. 20 "So I fled from you when I feared you. But my Lord has granted me Hukman (i.e. religious knowledge, right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood), and appointed me as one of the Messengers. 21 Is this then the blessing with which you reproach me, that you have the Children of Israel for worshipers' 22 Pharaoh said, 'And what is the Lord of all Being?' 23 Musa (Moses) said: "Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, if you seek to be convinced with certainty." 24 Said [Pharaoh] unto those around him: "Did you hear [what he said]?" 25 (Moses continued): "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers before you." 26 Said Firaun, “This (Noble) Messenger of yours, who has been sent towards you, has no intelligence!” 27 Moses said, "He is the Lord of the East and the West, and all that lies between them, if only you could understand." 28 [Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned." 29 He said: even though I bring unto thee something manifest? 30 The Pharaoh replied, "Bring it, if you are telling the truth." 31 So (Moses) cast his staff, and lo, it turned into a living serpent. 32 And he drew forth his hand, thereupon it shone bright before the beholders. 33
