We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 Salamun (peace) be upon Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)!" 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 and you pass by them in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
