Hizb 46
< random >
And Jonah too was one of the Messengers. 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 And then they cast lots and he was the one who lost, 141 then the whale swallowed him down, and he blameworthy. 142 And were he not one of those who praise. 143 He would have stayed in its belly till the day the dead are raised. 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 and We caused a pumpkin tree to grow over him. 146 And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more. 147 And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while. 148 (Muhammad), ask them, "Do daughters belong to your Lord and sons to them? 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 Behold, it is one of their fabrications that they say: 151 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. 152 Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 What, will you not remember? 155 Or do you have a clear authority? 156 Produce, then, that divine writ of yours, if you are speaking the truth! 157 They assert kinship between Him and the angels. But the angels know that they (the liars) will be arraigned (in Hell). 158 God is too glorious to be described as they describe Him 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 you shall tempt none against Him 162 Except one who is (destined) to burn in Hell. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 Verily, we (angels), we stand in rows for the prayers (as you Muslims stand in rows for your prayers); 165 and we glorify God". 166 And indeed they used to say: 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 we would have been sincere worshipers of Allah' 169 Yet they disbelieve therein. Presently they shall come to know. 170 And indeed Our Word has already gone forth for Our bondmen who were sent. 171 That verily they! they shall be made triumphant. 172 and Our armies shall be the victors. 173 So turn (away) from them for a while. 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 When it descends upon their courtyards, evil will be the morning of those forewarned. 177 So turn (away) from them for a while, 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 Peace be with the Messengers (of God). 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
