And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 We saved him and his family from the great affliction, 76 And We made his offspring the survivors. 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 That is how We recompense the righteous: 80 Verily, he [Nuh (Noah)] was one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 He looked up at the stars. 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 so they turned their backs on him and went off. 90 Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?... 91 "What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?" 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 So the disbelievers came running towards him. 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They exclaimed: "Build a pyre for him, and cast him into the blazing fire!" 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 Then when the twain had submitted themselves and he had prostrated him upon his temple. 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 And left (his hallowed memory) for posterity. 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
