Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 The fish then swallowed him and he blamed himself. (For not waiting for Allah’s command.) 142 and had he not been among those who exalt (Allah), 143 he would have lingered in its belly till the Day they are resurrected. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a bare desert whilst he was sick. 145 And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand, rather they exceeded. 147 So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you decide? 154 Will you not then mind? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if you speak truly! 157 And they have made between Him and the jinn a kinship whereas the jinn assuredly know that they are to be brought up 158 (They say): “Exalted be Allah above what they attribute to Him, 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship- 161 you shall tempt none against Him 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 The angels say, "Each of us has an appointed place. 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 we are they that give glory. 166 AND, INDEED, they [who deny the truth] have always been wont to say, 167 'If only we had had a Reminder from the ancients, 168 then were we God's sincere servants.' 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 That undoubtedly, only they will be helped. 172 and Our host -- they are the victors. 173 So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time. 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Glorified be your Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they attribute unto Him! 180 So peace be on the messengers, 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
