S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Saad, by the Holy Reading (Koran) of the Remembrance. 1 But the Unbelievers (are steeped) in self-glory and Separatism. 2 How many did We destroy before them of the generations, then they cried while the time of escaping had passed away. 3 And they marvel that a warner from among themselves hath come unto them, and the disbelievers say: This is a wizard, a charlatan. 4 Has he made the gods one single God? This is truly astounding.” 5 And their leading chiefs said: "Remain attached to your gods. There is surely some motive behind it. 6 We have not heard of this in the last religion; this is surely an invention. 7 What! Upon him alone from among all of us should a [divine] reminder have been bestowed from on high?" Nay, but it is My Own reminder that they distrust! Nay, they have not yet tasted the suffering which I do impose! 8 Or have they the treasures of the mercy of thy Lord,- the Exalted in Power, the Grantor of Bounties without measure? 9 Do they own the heavens and the earth and all that is between them? Let them try on their own to block (the ways of heavens so that Our revelations cannot come to you). 10 [They are but] soldiers [who will be] defeated there among the companies [of disbelievers]. 11 Before them the people of Noah denied the truth, as did the 'Ad and Pharaoh of the Stakes, 12 and the tribe of Thamud, and the people of Lot, and the dwellers of the Wood -- these were the confederates. 13 Each of them gave the lie to Messengers and My decree of chastisement came upon them. 14
