And We did not create the heaven and the earth and that between them aimlessly. That is the assumption of those who disbelieve, so woe to those who disbelieve from the Fire. 27 Do We consider the righteously striving believers equal to the evil-doers in the land? Are the pious ones equal to those who openly commit sin? 28 This is a Book which We have sent down upon you, a blessed Book, for them to ponder upon its verses, and for men of intellect to accept advice. 29 And We vouchsafed unto Da'ud Sulaiman. How excellent a bondman! verily he was oft-returning. 30 When there were shown to him at eventide lightfooted coursers 31 he said: “Lo! I have come to love this wealth on account of the remembrance of my Lord.” And when the horses disappeared, 32 Return them to me!' And he began to stroke their shanks and necks. 33 And We did try Solomon: We placed on his throne a body (without life); but he did turn (to Us in true devotion): 34 He said: "My Lord! Forgive me, and bestow upon me a kingdom such as shall not belong to any other after me: Verily, You are the Bestower." 35 Then We subjected the wind to his power, so that it blew gently, at his behest, wherever he willed, 36 and the satans, every builder and diver 37 and others also, coupled in fetters: 38 (Saying): This is Our gift, so bestow thou, or withhold, without reckoning. 39 And he has a place near to Us, and a fine return. 40
