And We did not create the heaven and the earth and that between them aimlessly. That is the assumption of those who disbelieve, so woe to those who disbelieve from the Fire. 27 Shall We make those who believe and work righteous works like unto the corrupters in the earth; or shall We make the God-fearing like unto the wicked! 28 This is a Book which We have sent down upon you, a blessed Book, for them to ponder upon its verses, and for men of intellect to accept advice. 29 We granted Solomon to David, a blessed servant of Ours and certainly the most repentant person. 30 When in the evening were presented to him the standing steeds, 31 he said, "My love of horses for the cause of God has made me continue watching them until sunset, thus making me miss my prayer". 32 Bring them back to me' And he hacked their legs and necks (slaughtering them for Allah). 33 And assuredly We tried Sulaiman, and set upon his throne a mere body. Thereafter he was penitent. 34 He said: “My Lord, forgive me and bestow upon me a kingdom such as none other after me will deserve. Surely You are the Bounteous Giver.” 35 We made the wind subservient to him, to blow gently wherever he desired at his command 36 And the shaitans, every builder and diver, 37 And many others bound in bond. 38 We told him, "This is Our gift to you so give them away free or keep them as you like". 39 And he has a place near to Us, and a fine return. 40
