(Muhammad) say, "I am only a warner. The only Lord is God, the Almighty. 65 “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them – the Almighty, the Oft Forgiving.” 66 Say: "This is a message tremendous: 67 but you have turned away from it. 68 I had no knowledge of the higher Assembly when they discussed it among themselves. 69 It is revealed unto me only that I may be a plain warner. 70 (Remember) When your Lord said to the angels, “I will create a human from clay.” – 71 And when I have made him and have breathed into him of My spirit. Fall down in homage before him." 72 Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together, 73 save Iblis: he gloried in his arrogance, and [thus] became one of those who deny the truth. 74 Said He: "O Iblis! What has kept thee from prostrating thyself before that [being] which I have created with My hands? Art thou too proud [to bow down before another created being,] or art thou of those who think [only] of themselves as high?" 75 Answered [Iblis]: "I am better than he: Thou hast created me out of fire, whereas him Thou hast created out of clay." 76 "Begone! You are accursed: 77 and My rejection shall be thy due until the Day of Judgment!" 78 Said [Iblis]: "Then, O my Sustainer, grant me a respite till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead!" 79 He said: Surely you are of the respited ones, 80 till the Day of the known time' 81 Said he, 'Now, by Thy glory, I shall pervert them all together, 82 Except, among them, Your chosen servants." 83 The Lord said, "I swear by the Truth - and I speak the Truth - 84 That I will fill Hell with you [Iblis (Satan)] and those of them (mankind) that follow you, together." 85 (O Prophet), tell them: “I do not ask you for any recompense for the performance of this task; nor am I given to affectation. 86 It, (the Quran), is nothing but a reminder to you from the Lord of the Universe. 87 And most certainly you will come to know about it after a time. 88
