Say: 'I am only a warner. There is no god except Allah, the One, the Conqueror, 65 "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving." 66 Say, “That is a great tidings.” 67 from which you are turning away. 68 I had no knowledge of the higher Assembly when they discussed it among themselves. 69 “I receive only the divine revelations, that I am purely a clear Herald of Warning.” 70 Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay: 71 So when I have fashioned him and breathed into him (his) soul created by Me, then you fall down prostrate to him." 72 Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together, 73 Saving Iblis; he was scornful and became one of the disbelievers. 74 He said: O Iblis! What hindereth thee from falling prostrate before that which I have created with both My hands? Art thou too proud or art thou of the high exalted? 75 Answered [Iblis]: "I am better than he: Thou hast created me out of fire, whereas him Thou hast created out of clay." 76 He said, “Therefore exit from heaven, for you have been outcast.” (To disrespect the Prophets – peace and blessings be upon them – is blasphemy.) 77 And surely My curse is on you to the day of judgment. 78 He said, “My Lord! Therefore give me respite till the day when all will be raised.” 79 Answered He: "Verily, so [be it:] thou shalt be among those who are granted respite 80 Until the day of the time appointed. 81 (Iblis) said: "Then, by Thy power, I will put them all in the wrong, 82 Except Thy servants from among them, the purified ones. 83 (Allah) said: "Then it is just and fitting- and I say what is just and fitting- 84 I shall certainly fill Gehenna with you and every one of them that follows you' 85 Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it; nor am I of those who affect: 86 It is but a reminder to the worlds. 87 You will come to know its truth in time." 88
