Say, [O Muhammad], "I am only a warner, and there is not any deity except Allah, the One, the Prevailing. 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver." 66 Say: “This is a tiding of tremendous import 67 from which you turn away. 68 I had no knowledge of the chiefs on high when they disputed; 69 It is revealed unto me only that I may be a plain warner. 70 Recall what time thy Lord said unto the angels: verily I am about to create a human being from clay; 71 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 72 So all the angels prostrated themselves 73 But not Iblis: he was proud and he was one of the unbelievers. 74 The Lord said: “O Iblis, what prevented you from prostrating yourself before him whom I created of My Two Hands. Are you waxing proud, or fancy yourself to be too exalted?” 75 Said Iblis, “I am better than him; You made me from fire, and You have created him from clay!” 76 (Allah) said: "Then get thee out from here: for thou art rejected, accursed. 77 "And My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Judgment." 78 Satan said: “My Lord, then grant me respite till the Day that they are raised up.” 79 Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited 80 Till the period of the time made known. 81 He said: "By Your authority, I will lead them astray, 82 except for those among them who are Your chosen servants." 83 He said: The Truth is, and the Truth I speak, 84 “That I will fill hell with you and with those among them who follow you, all together.” 85 Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it; nor am I of those who affect: 86 It, (the Quran), is nothing but a reminder to you from the Lord of the Universe. 87 And most certainly you will come to know about it after a time. 88
