۞ Say: 'O my people who have been prodigal against yourselves, do not despair of God's mercy; surely God forgives sins altogether; surely He is the All-forgiving, the All-compassionate. 53 And return to your Lord time after time and submit to Him before there comes to you the punishment, then you shall not be helped. 54 And follow the better (guidance) of that which is revealed unto you from your Lord, before the doom cometh on you suddenly when ye know not, 55 So that no soul may say, “Alas! The failures that I committed regarding Allah – and indeed I used to mock!” 56 Or (so that no soul) may say, “If Allah had shown me the right path, I would then be among the pious!” 57 Or it should say when it sees the punishment: Were there only a returning for me, I should be of the doers of good. 58 (But now the answer will be): Nay, for My revelations came unto thee, but thou didst deny them and wast scornful and wast among the disbelievers. 59 And on the day of resurrection you shall see those who lied against Allah; their faces shall be blackened. Is there not in hell an abode for the proud? 60 And Allah will deliver those who are the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) to their places of success (Paradise). Evil shall touch them not, nor shall they grieve. 61 Allah is the Creator of everything; He is the Guardian over everything. 62 unto Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth. And those who disbelieve in the signs of God, those they are the losers. 63
