The believer said, "My people, follow me! I will guide you to the right path. 38 O my people, this worldly life is only [temporary] enjoyment, and indeed, the Hereafter - that is the home of [permanent] settlement. 39 Those who do an evil deed shall only be rewarded with its like, but those who believe and do good works, either men and women, shall enter the Gardens of Paradise and are provided for without reckoning. 40 ۞ "And O my people, how is it that I summon you to salvation, the while you summon me to the fire? 41 You call me to disbelieve in Allah and to associate with Him that of which I know nothing; while I call you to the Almighty, the Forgiving. 42 There is no doubt that those whom you call me to have no claim to be called upon in this world and in the Hereafter. Certainly to Allah shall be our return, and those who exceed the limits are destined to the Fire. 43 And ye will remember what I say unto you. I confide my cause unto Allah. Lo! Allah is Seer of (His) slaves. 44 And God preserved him from the evil of their scheming, whereas suffering vile was to encompass Pharaoh's folk: 45 Fire, to which they are exposed morning and evening. The day the Hour is proclaimed (it will be said:) "Admit the people of Pharaoh to the severest punishment," 46 Just imagine when they will remonstrate with one another in Hell. The weak ones will say to those who waxed proud: “We were your followers. Will you, then, lighten for us a part of our suffering of the Fire?” 47 The arrogant will answer: "All of us are in it. Surely God has judged between His creatures." 48 Those in the Fire will say to its keepers, "Implore your Lord to relieve our torment for one day," 49 They will say, "Did there not come to you your messengers with clear proofs?" They will say, "Yes." They will reply, "Then supplicate [yourselves], but the supplication of the disbelievers is not except in error." 50
