Ghaafer 9 of 9
It is Allah who has provided you with cattle, some that you ride and some that you eat, 79 And there are (other) advantages in them for you (besides); that ye may through them attain to any need (there may be) in your hearts; and on them and on ships ye are carried. 80 He shows His signs. How many of God's signs will you then deny? 81 Have they never journeyed through the land and seen what was the end of those who have gone before them? They were stronger than themselves in might and left firmer traces upon the earth; yet, whatsoever they earned did not help them. 82 They were far too content with their own knowledge (to pay attention to the Messengers) when Our Messengers came to them with illustrious evidence. They were encompassed by the torment for mocking Our guidance. 83 Then when they behold Our prowess, they said: we believe in Allah alone, and we disbelieve in that which with Him we have been associating. 84 Their faith proved to be of no benefit to them when they became subject to Our torment. Such was God's prevailing tradition among His servants in the past. Thus were the unbelievers destroyed. 85
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
