۞ And when the son of Maryam (Mary) is quoted as an example [i.e. 'Iesa (Jesus) is worshipped like their idols), behold! But they are a quarrelsome people. [(See VV. 21:97-101) - The Quran.] 58 Jesus was not but a servant upon whom We bestowed favor, and We made him an example for the Children of Israel. 59 If We pleased We could have put angels in place of you as trustees on the earth. 60 And lo! verily there is knowledge of the Hour. So doubt ye not concerning it, but follow Me. This is the right path. 61 do not let Satan bar your way. He is truly your sworn enemy. 62 And when (Prophet) Jesus came with clear signs, he said: 'I have come to you with wisdom and to clarify to you some of the matters about which you differ. Fear Allah and obey me. 63 Surely Allah is my Lord and your Lord, therefore serve Him; this is the right path: 64 But the denominations from among them differed [and separated], so woe to those who have wronged from the punishment of a painful Day. 65 They await but the Hour: that it should come upon them of a sudden, while they perceive not. 66 The friends shall on that day be enemies one to another, except those who guard (against evil). 67
