The tree of Zaqqum 43 shall be food for the sinners: 44 It is like pitch. It will fume in the belly 45 like the boiling of hot water. 46 (It will be said of such sinners), "Seize them and drag them into the middle of hell. 47 then pour boiling water over his head as chastisement. 48 [It will be said], "Taste! Indeed, you are the honored, the noble! 49 This is what you doubted?" 50 Surely the godfearing shall be in a station secure 51 In the midst of gardens and of springs, 52 dressed in fine silk and in rich brocade, and they will face each other: 53 Even so. And We shall pair them with fair damsels large-eyed. 54 They will call therein for every kind of fruit in peace and security; 55 and neither shall they taste death there after having passed through their erstwhile death. Thus will He have preserved them from all suffering through the blazing fire 56 as a bounty from your Lord. That will be the mighty triumph. 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 Wait, then; they too are waiting. 59
