Muhammad (Muhammad)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
AS FOR THOSE who are bent on denying the truth and on barring [others] from the path of God - all their [good] deeds will He let go to waste; 1 As for those who attained to faith and did righteous works and believed in what was revealed to Muhammad -- which indeed is the Truth from their Lord -- Allah has remitted their evil deeds and has set their condition right. 2 This is because the unbelievers follow falsehood while the believers follow the truth from their Lord. As such Allah sets forth for people their examples. 3 So when you meet those who disbelieve [in battle], strike [their] necks until, when you have inflicted slaughter upon them, then secure their bonds, and either [confer] favor afterwards or ransom [them] until the war lays down its burdens. That [is the command]. And if Allah had willed, He could have taken vengeance upon them [Himself], but [He ordered armed struggle] to test some of you by means of others. And those who are killed in the cause of Allah - never will He waste their deeds. 4 He will guide them and improve their condition. 5 and He will admit them to the Paradise He has made known to them. 6 O People who Believe! If you help the religion of Allah, He will help you and will stabilise you. 7 But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), for them is destruction, and (Allah) will make their deeds vain. 8 That is because they hated what Allah has sent down, so He annulled their deeds. 9 ۞ Have they never journeyed through the land and seen what was the end of those who had gone before them? Allah destroyed them! Likewise it is for the unbelievers, 10 This is so for God is the friend of those who believe while the unbelievers have no friend. 11
