The Wall (Al-Hujuraat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Believers, do not advance before Allah and His Messenger, and fear Allah. Verily Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 1 O ye who believe! Lift not up your voices above the voice of the Prophet, nor shout when speaking to him as ye shout one to another, lest your works be rendered vain while ye perceive not. 2 Indeed, those who lower their voices before the Messenger of Allah - they are the ones whose hearts Allah has tested for righteousness. For them is forgiveness and great reward. 3 Indeed most of those who call you from outside the chambers do not have sense. 4 If they had waited for you to come out it would have been better for them. But God is forgiving and kind. 5 Believers, if an evil-doer brings you news, ascertain the correctness of the report fully, lest you unwittingly harm others, and then regret what you have done, 6 And know that among you is Allah's Messenger: were he, in many matters, to follow your (wishes), ye would certainly fall into misfortune: But Allah has endeared the Faith to you, and has made it beautiful in your hearts, and He has made hateful to you Unbelief, wickedness, and rebellion: such indeed are those who walk in righteousness;- 7 By grace from Allah and as a favor; and Allah is Knowing, Wise. 8 If two groups of believers come to fight one another, promote peace between them. Then if one of them turns aggressive against the other, fight against the aggressive party till it returns to God's authority. If it does so, make peace among them equitably and be impartial. Verily God loves those who are just. 9 The believers are but brethren; wherefore make reconciliation between your brethren and fear Allah, that haply ye may be shewn mercy. 10
