Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf. I swear by the glorious Quran (that Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah) 1 Indeed, they are astonished that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. So these deniers of the truth say, "This is indeed a strange thing, 2 Why - [how could we be resurrected] after we have died and become mere dust? Such a return seems far-fetched indeed!" 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a retaining record. 4 Aye! they belie the truth when it cometh unto them; wherefore they are in an affair confused. 5 Do they not look at the sky above them?- How We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it? 6 (Have they not seen) how We have spread out the earth, placed on it firm mountains and have made all kinds of flourishing pairs of plants grow? 7 as a lesson and reminder for every human being who turns to God; 8 And We sent down the auspicious water from the sky, therefore producing gardens with it, and the grain that is harvested. 9 And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, 10 Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead. 11 Cried lies before them the people of Noah and the men of Er-Rass, and Thamood, 12 and Ad and Pharaoh, the brothers of Lot, 13 And the dwellers in the wood, and the people of Tubba; each one belied the apostles, wherefore fulfilled was My judgement. 14 Were We then fatigued with the first creation? Yet are they in doubt with regard to a new creation. 15
