Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Qaf. CONSIDER this sublime Qur'an! 1 In fact, it seems odd (to the pagans) that a warner from their own people has come to them. The disbelievers have said, "It is very strange 2 What! when we are dead and have become dust? That is afar (from probable) return. 3 We know all that the earth takes away of them, and a Book of Records is with Us. 4 Nay, but they have denied the truth (this Quran) when it has come to them, so they are in a confused state (can not differentiate between right and wrong). 5 Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and [how] it has no rifts? 6 and We have spread out the earth, and have set upon it firm mountains, and have caused it to bring out plants of all beauteous kinds? 7 An insight and a Reminder for every slave turning to Allah (i.e. the one who believes in Allah and performs deeds of His obedience, and always begs His pardon). 8 And We send down water as a blessing from the sky, and grow gardens with it and the grain for harvest, 9 And lofty date-palms with ranged clusters, 10 all this as sustenance for Our servants. And thus We do bring the dead land back to life with water. Such shall be the coming forth (of human beings from the earth). 11 Before them, the people of Noah and the people of Rass denied this truth; and so did the people of Thamud. 12 Ad, the Pharaoh, Lot, 13 and the people of Aykah, and the people of Tubba'. They all gave the lie to the Messengers. Thereafter My threat of chastisement against them was fulfilled. 14 What, were We wearied by the first creation? No, indeed; yet they are in doubt about a new creation. 15
