Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Qaf. I swear by the glorious Quran (that Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah) 1 Nay; they wondered that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. The unbelievers said: “This indeed is a strange thing. 2 Shall we be brought back when we are dead and have become dust? That is a return remote! 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them; with Us is a book recording. 4 Nay, they rejected the truth when it came to them, so they are (now) in a state of confusion. 5 What, have they not beheld heaven above them, how We have built it, and decked it out fair, and it has no cracks? 6 (Have they not seen) how We have spread out the earth, placed on it firm mountains and have made all kinds of flourishing pairs of plants grow? 7 An insight and a Reminder for every slave turning to Allah (i.e. the one who believes in Allah and performs deeds of His obedience, and always begs His pardon). 8 And We sent down out of heaven water blessed, and caused to grow thereby gardens and grain of harvest 9 And tall (and stately) palm-trees, with shoots of fruit-stalks, piled one over another;- 10 a provision for the servants, and thereby We revived a land that was dead. Even so is the coming forth. 11 The folk of Noah denied (the truth) before them, and (so did) the dwellers at Ar-Rass and (the tribe of) Thamud, 12 And the tribe of A’ad, and Firaun, and the fellowmen of Lut. 13 And the companions of the thicket and the people of Tubba'. All denied the messengers, so My threat was justly fulfilled. 14 Were We exhausted by the act of the first creation? And yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
