Then the people of Lot rejected the messengers. 160 Behold, their brother Lut said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 so fear God and obey me. 163 I seek of you no reward. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 164 Do you approach males among the worlds 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing." 166 They said: "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will be expelled (from the city)." 167 He said: "I do detest your doings." 168 My Lord! deliver me and my followers from what they do. 169 Thereupon We saved him and all his household 170 Except one old woman, who stayed behind. 171 then We totally destroyed the rest, 172 And rained on them a shower (of Stones). How terrible was the rain (that fell) on those who had been warned! 173 Surely in this there is a sign: but most of them would not believe: 174 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 175
