Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
QAF. I CALL to witness the glorious Qur'an. 1 They are rather surprised that a warner from among themselves has come to them. So the unbelievers say: "This is astonishing: 2 "When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be resurrected?) That is a far return." 3 We know all that the earth takes away of them, and a Book of Records is with Us. 4 Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case. 5 Do they not look at the sky above them?- How We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it? 6 And (how) We have spread the earth, and placed mountains as anchors in it, and have grown all kinds of beautiful pairs in it? 7 An insight and an admonition for every bondman penitent. 8 We sent down blessed water from the sky with which We caused gardens and the grains of harvest to grow, 9 and tall palm-trees with spathes compact, 10 as a provision for human beings; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life. Such shall be the Resurrection. 11 Before them, the people of Noah and the people of Rass denied this truth; and so did the people of Thamud. 12 And 'Aad and Pharaoh and the brothers of Lot 13 And the dwellers in the wood, and the people of Tubba; each one belied the apostles, wherefore fulfilled was My judgement. 14 Were We then weary with the first Creation, that they should be in confused doubt about a new Creation? 15
