We verily created man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein. 16 [And so,] whenever the two demands [of his nature] come face to face, contending from the right and from the left, 17 not a word he utters, but by him is an observer ready. 18 And the stupor of death will bring Truth (before his eyes): "This was the thing which thou wast trying to escape!" 19 And the Trumpet will be blown, that will be the Day whereof warning (had been given) (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). 20 And every soul shall come, and with it a driver and a witness. 21 'Thou wast heedless of this; therefore We have now removed from thee thy covering, and so thy sight today is piercing.' 22 And his companion will say: 'This is that which I have present' 23 Do cast into hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 who is an opponent of good, a suspicious transgressor 25 who has set up another deity beside God: cast him, then, cast him into suffering severe!" 26 ۞ His companion (Satan devil)] will say: "Our Lord! I did not push him to transgress, (in disbelief, oppression, and evil deeds) but he was himself in error far astray." 27 He shall say, 'Dispute not before Me! For I sent you beforehand -- the threat. 28 The Word is not changed with Me; I wrong not My servants.' 29
