Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds that scatter the dust, 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 and those that speed along with gentle ease, 3 And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- 4 Undoubtedly, the promise you are given is surely true. 5 And verily the Requital is surely to befall. 6 by the heaven full of tracks, 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. 9 Doomed are the conjecturers 10 and who wander in the abyss of confusion. 11 They ask: “When will the Day of Judgement be?” 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 Taking that which their Lord will vouchsafe unto hem. Verily they have been before that well-doers. 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 There is in the heavens your sustenance, and whatever has been promised you. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth! it is most surely the truth, just as you do speak. 23
