Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds which carry dust particles, 1 then the bearers of weight (the clouds), 2 then the easy runners (the ships); 3 And those (angels) who distribute (provisions, rain, and other blessings) by (Allah's) Command; 4 Verily, that which you are promised is true indeed, 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 He is turned away from it who would be turned away. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire 13 "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Indeed the pious are among Gardens and water springs. 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 16 sleeping little in the night-time, 17 and in the mornings they would ask for forgiveness; 18 And in their substance was the right of the beggar and non-beggar. 19 And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith] 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. 22 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is certainly true, as true as the fact of your speaking. 23
