Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 by the clouds which are heavily loaded with water, 2 and those that speed along with gentle ease, 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 Verily, that which you are promised is true indeed, 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 He is made to turn away from it who is (himself) averse. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 Upon the day when they shall be tried at the Fire: 13 "Taste you your trial (burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!" 14 Verily the God-fearing will be amid Gardens and water-springs. 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord gives them, because, before then, they lived a good life. 16 They used to sleep but little of the night, 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good). 19 And on the earth there are signs for those who would be convinced. 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your providence and that which ye are promised; 22 So, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, this is certainly true, as true as the fact of your speaking. 23
