Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds that scatter the dust, 1 by the clouds which are heavily loaded with water, 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 indeed, that which you are promised is true, 5 and the Judgement shall doubtlessly take place. 6 By the heaven full of paths, 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Death to those whose opinions are merely baseless conjectures. 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire 13 'Taste your trial. This is what you have sought to hasten' 14 Indeed the pious are among Gardens and water springs. 15 Taking what their Lord gives them; surely they were before that, the doers of good. 16 They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 There are signs in the earth for those who are firm in their faith, 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as surely true as that you have speech. 23
