Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 And those [ships] sailing with ease 3 And those who distribute (blessings) by command, 4 Undoubtedly, the promise you are given is surely true. 5 And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. 6 By the heaven full of paths. 7 Verily, [O men,] you are deeply at variance as to what to believe: 8 though only those who are averse to the Truth will turn away from (believing in it). 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Those who have forgotten in a state of intoxication. 11 they who [mockingly] ask, "When is that Day of Judgment to be?" 12 On the Day of Judgment they will be punished by the fire 13 Taste your persecution! this is what you would hasten on. 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 and the beggar and the outcast had a share in their wealth. 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 There is also evidence of the Truth within your own selves. Will you then not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision and also what you are being promised. 22 for, by the Sustainer of heaven and earth, this [life after death] is the very truth - as true as that you are endowed with speech! 23
