With power and skill did We construct the Firmament: for it is We Who create the vastness of pace. 47 And the earth – We spread it out, and how well have We smoothed it! 48 We created two kinds of all things, so that you will remember. 49 Therefore hasten to God; truly, I am sent by Him to give you clear warning. 50 Do not set up another god, along with God. I come from Him to warn you plainly. 51 Even thus no apostle came to those before them but they said: "He is a sorcerer or a mad man." 52 Have they (the people of the past) transmitted this saying to these (Quraish pagans)? Nay, they are themselves a people transgressing beyond bounds (in disbelief)! 53 Then turn your back upon them for you are not to blame; 54 but keep on exhorting them, for exhortation benefits the believers. 55 And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. 56 I do not desire from them any sustenance and I do not desire that they should feed Me. 57 Lo! Allah! He it is that giveth livelihood, the Lord of unbreakable might. 58 And lo! for those who (now) do wrong there is an evil day like unto the evil day (which came for) their likes (of old); so let them not ask Me to hasten on (that day). 59 Then, woe to those who disbelieve (in Allah and His Oneness Islamic Monotheism) from (that) their Day which they have been promised (for their punishment). 60
