EXHORT, then, [O Prophet, all men:] for, by thy Sustainer's grace, thou art neither a soothsayer nor a madman. 29 Or do they say [of you], "A poet for whom we await a misfortune of time?" 30 Proclaim, “Go on waiting – I too am waiting along with you.” 31 Does their reason tell them to say this or is it because they are a rebellious people? 32 Or do they say: "He himself has composed this [message]"? Nay, but they are not willing to believe! 33 Then let them produce speech the like thereof, if they are truthful. 34 Have they not been created from some source, or are they themselves the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and earth? Nay, but they have not sure faith. 36 Do they own the treasures of your Lord? Have they any authority over God? 37 Or have they a stairway [into the heaven] upon which they listen? Then let their listener produce a clear authority. 38 Hath He daughters and ye sons? 39 Or is it that you (O Muhammad SAW) ask a wage from them (for your preaching of Islamic Monotheism) so that they are burdened with a load of debt? 40 Or [do they think] that the hidden reality [of all that exists] is almost within their grasp, so that [in time] they can write it down? 41 Or are they contriving a stratagem against you? If so, that stratagem will rebound against the unbelievers. 42 Or have they a god other than Allah? Glory be to Allah from what they set up (with Him). 43 If they should see a segment falling from the sky, they would say: "It is only a massive cloud." 44 Then let them be (O Muhammad), till they meet their day, in which they will be thunder-stricken, 45 A day on which their scheming will not benefit them at all, nor will they be helped. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment besides this: But most of them understand not. 47 So wait patiently for the Judgement of your Lord -- you are certainly under Our watchful eye. And glorify and celebrate the praises of your Lord when you rise up [from your sleep]. 48 And in the night time, also glorify His Praises, and at the setting of the stars. 49
