Therefore proclaim thou the praises (of thy Lord): for by the Grace of thy Lord, thou art no (vulgar) soothsayer, nor art thou one possessed. 29 Or do they say: "[He is but] a poet - let us wait what time will do unto him"? 30 Say (O Muhammad SAW to them): "Wait! I am with you, among the waiters!" 31 Do their minds command them this [i.e. to tell a lie against you (Muhammad SAW)] or are they people exceeding the bounds (i.e. from Belief in Allah to disbelief). 32 Do they say: “He has himself fabricated the Qur'an?” No; the truth is that they are altogether averse to believing. 33 Let them then produce a recital like unto it,- If (it be) they speak the truth! 34 Were they created out of nothing, or are they their own creators? 35 Did they create the heavens and the earth? No! They have no faith. 36 Or, are the treasures of your Lord in their keeping? Or, are they the controllers? 37 Or have they a stairway [into the heaven] upon which they listen? Then let their listener produce a clear authority. 38 Or has He (Allah) only daughters and you have sons? 39 Or do you ask them for a reward, so that they are over-burdened by debt? 40 Or, is the Unseen in their keeping, so they are writing it down? 41 Or seek they to ensnare (the messenger)? But those who disbelieve, they are the ensnared! 42 Do they have another god besides God? God is too exalted to be considered equal to the idols. 43 And if they should see a fragment of the heaven falling down, they would say: it is only clouds piled up. 44 Then let them be (O Muhammad), till they meet their day, in which they will be thunder-stricken, 45 the Day when none of their scheming will be of the least avail to them, and they will receive no succour. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a punishment beyond that. But most of them know not. 47 And be thou patient under the judgment of thy Lord; surely thou art before Our eyes. And proclaim the praise of thy Lord when thou arisest, 48 and glorify Him after the setting of the stars. 49
