Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The near event draws nigh. 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
