The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 Who hath gathered wealth (of this world) and arranged it. 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 No indeed; he shall be thrust into the Crusher; 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 In extended columns. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
