HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 He plunged the villages 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
