The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 by those that swim serenely 3 By the angels hastening, 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 and eyes will be humbly cast down. 9 They say: "Shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state of life? 10 even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But only, it will be a single Zajrah [shout (i.e., the second blowing of the Trumpet)]. (See Verse 37:19). 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? 15 His Lord called out to him by the sacred valley of Tuwa: 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 And say, "Hast thou the will to purify thyself; 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 And he showed him the greatest sign, 20 but he cried lies, and rebelled, 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the Everlasting Life, and of this world. 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
