(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
