Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 while you make merry? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
