HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 and that everyone shall have in his account only that which he worked for, 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Stars (Al-Najm). Sent down in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
