So did you observe him who turned away? 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
