Have you seen the one who turned away 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 and that with thy Sustainer is the beginning and the end [of all that exists]; 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
