(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
