Have you seen the one who turned away 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 So that (ruins unknown) have covered them up. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
