And there certainly came to the people of Pharaoh warning. 41 but they belied all Our signs so We seized them with the seizing of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 ARE, THEN, those of you who [now] deny the truth better than those others - or have you, perchance, [been promised] immunity in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom? 43 Or is it that they say: we are a multitude prevailing! 44 Soon will their multitude be put to flight, and they will show their backs. 45 Aye! the Hour is their appointed term, and the Hour shall be far more grievous and far more bitter. 46 Surely the sinners are in error and insanity! 47 On the Day when they shall be dragged into the fire on their faces, [they will be told:] "Taste now the touch of hell-fire!" 48 Surely We have created everything according to a measure. 49 And Our command is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And assuredly We have destroyed your likes; so is there any one who shall be admonished? 51 And everything they did is in written records. 52 Every small or great deed is written down. 53 Surely those who shun disobedience will dwell amidst Gardens and running streams 54 In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability. 55
