The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it over and again. 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 (It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze), 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 In extended columns. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
