And certainly the warning came to Firon's people. 41 They denied all Our signs, We therefore seized them – the seizure of the Most Honourable, the All Powerful. 42 ARE, THEN, those of you who [now] deny the truth better than those others - or have you, perchance, [been promised] immunity in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom? 43 Or is it that they say: we are a multitude prevailing! 44 The hosts will all be routed and will turn and flee. 45 Nay; the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Hour shall be more calamitous and bitter. 46 for, behold, those who are lost in sin [will at that time come to know that it is they who] were sunk in error and folly! 47 On the day when they are dragged upon their faces in the fire – “Taste the heat of hell.” 48 We have created everything to fulfill a certain purpose. 49 And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye. 50 And We destroyed those like you, is there any that will remember! 51 All that they do is noted in (their) Books (of Deeds): 52 And every small and great [thing] is inscribed. 53 Surely those who shun disobedience will dwell amidst Gardens and running streams 54 Firmly established in the favour of a Mighty King. 55
